Ceramics - Clay Fantasy (Ages 8-12)

Your child will be introduced to the wonders of fantasy creatures, pinch pot bowls and cups, and how to use clay slabs to create things like pencil holders, boxes, lanterns, and wind chimes.

Saturdays, September 16 - October 7, 10:00 am - noon Register

 Camp Clay Fantasy (Ages 8-11)
Participants will explore their own creativity as they customize presented clay projects, thus ensuring success for all skill levels. They will decorate their creations with under glazes (which function as paints) and glazes (which seal the project, and give it a shine). Possible projects include, but are not limited to: Birdhouses/animal habitats, wind chimes, planters, animal sculptures, mugs, cups, trays, and bowls.

Camp Beyond Clay Fantasy (Ages 12-14)
All participants will have the option of customizing presented projects. For students with specific ideas of what they would like to make, the class will serve as a goal centered class, as they are guided in fulfilling their vision. More advanced, multi-day projects will be presented, and more diverse decorative methods will be explored. Possible projects include anything offered in Camp Clay Fantasy, as well as covered box shapes, sculptural forms, totem beads, etc. Come with ideas!
