Clay3

National Juried Ceramics Exhibition
October 24 - November 22, 2008

(pdf format)

CLAY³ is the first annual national ceramic show presented by ClaySpace Ceramics Arts Studio, a not for profit corporation devoted to the promotion of the arts, especially ceramic art. The show will be held from Oct 24, 2008 through Nov. 21, 2008. A call for entries has already gone out to ceramic artists throughout the United States to compete in the show juried by ceramic artist Simon Levin. The unique twist on this show requires that ceramic functional and/or sculptural pieces must fit in a space that is no more than one foot square. The show will be held in the atrium of the IBEW building also located in Warrenville. It is being sponsored in part by the IBEW and the village of Warrenville. ClaySpace is looking for additional sponsors to help defray the costs of the show and of course for artists to enter their works into the show.

EMPTY BOWLS

 What is it?

Empty bowls is The Clay People Club’s annual charity fundraiser

to raise money for area food banks. This event is a collaboration

between the Clay People Club and the Naperville Woman’s Club

How does it work?

1. Artists create ceramic bowls and donate them to The Clay

People Club.

2. Volunteers from the Clay People Club and the Naperville

Woman’s Club sell the bowls at the Naperville Woman’s Club

Fine Art Fair at Naper Settlement located in Naperville on July

12th & 13th.

3. The money raised is given to the Naperville Woman’s Club;

which distributes the funds to DuPage County Food banks.

Last year $1,800.00 was raised!
