Artists Bio

I took my first ceramic class at College of DuPage with instructor Sarah Jo Hermanson in 1979.  Some of my fellow students are members of ClaySpace now. I finished my degree at National Lewis University and taught elementary school for 20 years.  During that time, I went to Northern Illinois University and earned my Master’s Degree. I came back to College of DuPage and taught Ceramics for 13 years.  Politics changed and many of my students wanted a ceramic outlet.  We decided to establish a studio in 2006, and ClaySpace was born. The rest is history, a wonderful space for creative growth.
