My work is an exploration of the ways in which the method informs the result. I have a strong interest in process; in the layering of materials and ideas. My work with ceramics is also closely linked to my interest in process. It is always present in my pieces. I never begin with a preconceived notion, but rather I allow pieces to “happen” often from the flow of the medium I am using. I am drawn to the irregular and the imperfect. I enjoy the desultory wanderings which come from it.
